Bills and Republic Services Host Electronic Recycling Drive
Fans are encouraged to drop off old electronic items in the Bills Fieldhouse parking lot

ORCHARD PARK, NY –On Saturday, October 31st, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Bills and Republic Services will host the third annual electronic recycling drive in the Bills Fieldhouse parking lot at One Bills Drive. Members of the community are invited to bring their old electronic items including televisions, computers and cell phones to be recycled safely. A special coupon for the Bills Store will be distributed with every drop off.

”The Buffalo Bills are truly excited to partner with Republic Services to assist the community and further help the environment by hosting our third electronic recycling event at The Ralph,” said Andy Major, Buffalo Bills Vice President of Operations and Guest Experience. “Especially on game day, fans have been instrumental in helping the Bills and Republic Services create a 100% landfill-free stadium and divert waste to energy and recycling. With the help from the community and the expertise of Republic Services, we have collectively been able to make a positive impact on the environment, and the electronic recycling event further emphasizes this positive relationship.”

Bills fans have made a tremendous impact keeping their tailgate areas clean by bagging their tailgate items into recycling and/or garbage bags, which further assists the Bills and Republic Services with recycling efforts. Bills fan efforts have not only helped with the cleanliness of the Bills parking lots, but have also eliminated safety issues, improved fan behavior, and diverted hundreds of tons of trash to energy and recycling.

“Bills fans continue to make history by keeping Ralph Wilson Stadium a zero waste facility and responding to our annual electronics recycling day,” said Jeff Burdick, area president of Republic Services. “We want to help Bills fans make history again this year by turning out in even bigger numbers on October 31, and recycling even more old or unused electronics. We can all do more to reuse and recycle in our daily lives, and events like this one empower Bills fans to help preserve the local environment for generations to come.”

The Fieldhouse Lot is located off of Big Tree road adjacent to the ADPRO Sports Training Center. The public may drop off their old electronic items for free during the event.
