PHOENIX, Feb. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Republic Services, Inc. (NYSE: RSG) announced today the promotions of two finance executives to key Company positions. Brian DelGhiaccio has been named senior vice president, Finance and Marsha Lacy has been named vice president, Treasurer. The promotions recognize the achievements of the two executives while underscoring Republic's commitment to maintaining strong succession planning for leadership roles throughout the Company.

Brian DelGhiaccio
In Mr. DelGhiaccio's new role, he will be responsible for Investor Relations, Treasury and Risk Management, and will report to Mr. Culpepper. He joined Republic in 1998 and has held several roles of increasing responsibility, including assistant corporate controller; senior director, Financial Planning & Analysis; and his most recent role of vice president, Investor Relations. Prior to joining Republic, Mr. DelGhiaccio was a senior consultant with Arthur Andersen. He earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Arizona.
Marsha Lacy
As the Company's treasurer, Ms. Lacy will be responsible for Republic's corporate finance and cash management activities, including bank relationship management. She will report to Mr. DelGhiaccio. Ms. Lacy joined Republic in 1999 and during her tenure progressed through several positions of increasing responsibility including the role of director, Cash Management as well as her most recent role of senior director, assistant treasurer. Prior to joining Republic, she held several roles in the retail industry including vice president, controller; treasury manager; and just prior to joining Republic she served as director, Financial Services for PetSmart. Ms. Lacy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
